so in keeping with the morning coffee theme - i ordered another supply of black rifle company beans tonight , im getting down to my last bag .......will grind some in the morning and start my day ,

i just finished my last ceegar of the day and had a nice conversation with my good friend in wisconsin - we are both enjoying drizzly weather , but its a bit above freezing so not too uncomfortable ,
i drove home in heavy fog tonight from dinner with two minnesota friends , better than two weeks ago when i was in the blizzard with a flat tire but still not my favorite drive ,

our thanksgiving plans got changed today when my BIL announced he tested positive and they have to back out of having the family at their house ...so i dont know yet where we will be on thursday - i would be OK with staying home, sleeping in , doing nothing , but i doubt my wife will leave it at that , be at my daughters an hour away in the cities on saturday ,

hope all of you enjoy your thanksgiving this year in spite of the 2020 stupidity ,

39 degrees in my swamp this morning, 20% chance of showers this afternoon. Not going anywhere for Turkey day except maybe my woods working on my food plot, or hunting. If you go somewhere be save.

A much milder day in Blue Ridge today.  52 deg and sunny.  Last day of work this week.  I’ve been very fortunate to be able to work from home since March.  A few more years and I throw in the towel....

Every night a flock of Turkeys walks down our driveway, passes the back of the cabin, down the mountain and crosses the creek and heads off along the other side of the creek.  Might be one less turkey in that group this year....

This group of Turkeys has a few that are completely white, no colour at all.  Not seen that before.

Show you what iam doing today expanding my food plot I put in this summer. Putting my Oliver 550 to work, pushing the brush and trees over to the edge of the swamp.
Don't know why I keep getting double pictures?

You better shoot those white Turkeys you can't let them breed with the others.

Good evening all, Thanksgiving morning coming up and I just have to be out in the woods tomorrow morning for a couple of hours of hunting. My first ever deer was had on thanksgiving morn many years ago. Along for the ride was my stepson. We were both excited. It was my first with my 1916 Sht LE .303 as well. He now lives in Florida and will not make it up this year but I'll still go out and try to fill a tag. Enjoy the bird tomorrow.
Sht LE mk111, Ruger .223, .357, 9mm,.22, Tokarev 9mm, CVA .50, Marlin Glenfield Mod 25 .22

Same here it was on Thanksgiving Day many years ago.
Didn't have a deer rifle, so I barrowed one.a jungle carbine. Tomarrow I will have my own jungle carbine, hunting the same woods.

continuing the theme - im sitting here enjoying my morning coffee , black rifle company AK Espresso , ive been trying a bit of each of their offerings and have so far preferred this and their SS versions to the other four ive tried ,

i broke my glasses i use for the computer :<{ - ive just placed an order to replace them , funny how you get particularly attached to small things , when gone they leave a hole in your comfort area - at least in front of the computer for now , ive taped them together sorta but they dont feel right , at least i cant break my thermal metal coffee mug :>}

our thanksgiving plans with the extended family fell thru completely now , BIL tested positive and his was the home we were all going to , attempts at last minute alternative didnt feel right without that 1/5 of the family on her side ,
my siblings are in another state 300 miles away so we seldom think of that trip with this time of years unpredictable weather and our narrow window of time , in the past got caught in snow storms , ice storms , dense fog and such that caused us a lot of distress we dont need for the holidays ,
nothing to do but have a nice turkey meal - just the two of us , but im OK with that , still have the daughters place on saturday with our kids and grandkids to look forward to tho ,

work at the gunrange has slowed for the season so i only worked 3 days rather than 5-7 this past week im OK with that after the sight-in crunch of the past few weeks ,
and might be down to 2 days this next week , after that who knows might just be a weekend or 1 day every two weeks when we have a jackpot shoot - im OK with that too
i have a job if i want it at the Luth AR facility that is located on the gunclub property , they told me they would use me when available , i just have to let them know but might wait till after the new year to look at this ,

enough rambling , coffee is gone , wife is napping after overnight shift , time for me to do something constructive i guess , i have a brass buttplate that needs a bit of polish
