We've been having a glorious few days! Sunny and a few degrees above freezing. Lots of snow has gone. Well probably get hammered at least once more with snow before April, but it's a nice break!

40's & clear blue skies. The wind has finally dropped.
Most of the snow is now melted.

Reminds me of the spring of ‘81 or ‘82 driving back to college on my motorcycle after getting it out from winter storage.  It was early May and it started snowing soon after I left home.  By the time I got to Kingston the windscreen had an inch of snow/ice cover.   Darn near froze to death.

so today i went to dinner with my friend gimp to our friends up north , we were talking as we drove , it was about 180 miles round trip , we were in 6 counties and took the most direct route , that means i was in 8 counties today - 3 crossing town , anyway - the birch are showing buds and the tamarack are turning green , i hope that indicates this will be an early spring ,

oh - BTW , this community straddles the intersection of three counties , every time i cross a bridge here im in a different county , i live on the west side of the river in one county , going to work took me to the east side of the river and the southern county , going to gimps took me north to the third , but i can do all three and back in less than five miles ,

I'm like that with states!
Cross the Potomac heading South & I'm in WVa, head north & I'm in PA in minutes. I can actually trow a rock over the Mason-Dixon line.
I think that this is my place in the background! Tongue

Last three day’s hurricane like winds some snow & cold with 1/2” or so ice of a morning, half way pleasant temp’s again finally now.
No sign of the ants 🐜 yet still hunkered down underneath in hibernation when they pop up spring time here officially arrive’s hopefully. I like’s to see the ants come out gets one motivated for spring time tour of duty on the island.
