What are some good military movies to watch while times are unsettled?
Always looking for military manuals, Dodge M37 items, books on Berlin Germany, old atlases ( before 1946) , military maps of Scotland. English and Canadian gun parts.

Back when we had drive-in movie theaters, Ilsa the She-Wolf was a staple for the all nighters! Manitoba summer, '68 fastback mustang, cooler full of stubby "Club" beer and Ilsa...

The Dambusters
633 Squadron
The great escape
Battle of Britain
The longest day
The Dirty Dozen
The Big Red One
that ought to get you started off.
Then for sh*tz & Giggles try the BBC series " 'Allo, 'Allo" (with the gorgeous Moira Foot if you make it to season 5)
"Good moaning" Star!

Don't shoot till you see the whites of their thighs. (Unofficial motto of the Royal Air Force)

Sounds like my life back when it was fun to drive a muscle car! Mine was MOPAR and stubby bottles...yup I sure remember those. Although not a movie but a TV series, I absolutely LOVED 'Rat Patrol'!

I liked “Danger Close...  watched it last night.  A good perspective on the Australian involvement in the Vietnam War.    Others aboutVietnam that I thought were good....  best on list isn’t necessarily at top of the list, just as I thought of the titles.  Bat 21 and Flight of the Intruder are primarily aviator stories.  84 Charlie Mopic is from the perspective of the Combat Photographer.  Yeah, I’ve got all of these, plus a few more...

     -We were Soldiers
     -Hamburger Hill
     -Heaven and Earth
     -platoon
     -Bat 21
     -Flight Of the Intruder
     -84 Charlie Mopic
     -The Siege of Firebase Gloria

Attack Force Z, The Odd Angry Shot and of course, Breaker Morant. All good war movies with an Aussie slant. "Rule .303"...
