so - i got furloughed mid march - let go end of march , no biggy was going to retie in december anyway , just not on my schedule it seems , im OK with it , been working my second seasonal job more than i wanted ever since and looks like ill be doing so next years as well ...not certain yet how i might feel after first of year , but at 70+ i think i can decide later ,

i have an offer of another job as well that i can do off season or permanent but ....not sure yet what ill do , all that said ---to my topic

as a complaint to this covid crap and in compliance with the business closings ive not cut my hair since last february ....and i stopped shaving mid march , so now -

my grandaughter calls me santa
an old friend told me i was looking like santa
a lot of strangers at the club tell me i look like santa

do i hold off and play santa or do i get cleaned up and look respecable again ? im thinking to hold out till this covid crap goes away and if we have a civil war i aint cuttin nuthin till the fightins over just like the last one ,

all kiddin aside im scared im gonna have to play santa at christmas if i dont get trimmed up pretty soon ,

I let it all grow out, then I tried to buy one of those hair trimmers we see advertised. Yeah! Good luck, its still on back order after 5 months.
Censored
I did get a beard trimmer though. Its actually easy to use despite a few minor mistakes the first time out. Most were unnoticeable except to me.
I went with the full beard & mustache "face fungus", but run the trimmer over it every 2 weeks so I don't look like "Shaggy the Bear."

You'll have to excuse my "Fuzzy Al Ghoolie" Shemang & Agal outfit, its my covid mask/protest.

We were never allowed beards or goatees when I worked in the fertilizer plant as you couldnt get a good deal if you had to don a SCBA. I've been retired now for just over five years and have been sporting a well trimmed beard for four of those. I do miss my morning shaving ritual as I had become a full fledged straight razor shaver several years ago.
