This rifle has been in my family since the Boer War. I maintain it in almost full military condition and regularly shoot it with handloaded ammunition. My late grandfather had at some time, before the Spanish Flu got him in 1918, replaced the front sight with a piece of bone to improve his ability to aim! I would like to get hold of the correct sight blade to complete this rifle ![]() ![]() |

welcome to the site and that looks to be a very nice example from what i can see of you photos , i wish i had what you need but i dont , someone else will offer the item or a lead to find it i think if you give them a little time - we are on different time zones here ,

I replaced the V.S.M. (Vickers Son & Maxim) front sight on my MLE MkI* with a traditional barleycorn front sight I found on ebay. They aren't too difficult to find.
