Welcome.
A few of us have 7.62 converted No. 4's. I have two No. 4 Mk 2's, one a Long Branch DCRA conversion, the other with a Long Branch (CA) 7.62 barrel, but not an "official" conversion. I'd be interested in hearing how yours shoots. Do you reload?

Just starting to reload for 7.62 NATO. I bought 500 GGG once fired cases from the NRA (UK) . I fired the first off my production line a week ago with mixed results, not helped by a cataract on my shooting eye. I have not done much with rifle reloading apart from 223/5.56 for my straight pull AR15 which I use for vermin control. My previous reloading experiences were with various pistol calibre ammunition for target shooting until the ban of standard pistol shooting in the U.K.

Sorry if the photo is upside down. I’m still in the steam age when it comes to computers.

Looks like the hammered barrel of the L39/L42. I assume it is the equivalent from the kit that was also produced at that time. Very good looking rifle.
What are you using in your reloads? I use Sierra Palma 155 grain bullets with 41 grains of Vectan SP7 in my L39. But I've yet to try different powders. Welcome to the forum. It's your first Enfield it's a good start! But I bet it won't be your last! They become addictive.

Might I suggest a nice P-H 5C with the 1/4MOA clicks & an iris eyepiece! I can't tell from the pic, do have one? I see 5c's & DZ's but can't see the details. ![]() |

I think both the left hand side ones are 1/4" clicks, they have the "cylindrical" rather than cone-shaped" adjustment knobs? It looks like thy have the 6-hole eyepieces, instead of the iris? If you do decide to sell the stuff I' d be interested in the SMLE combo tool (the version with the firing pin protrusion gauge), & if you nave one (I can't tell) a globe front sight to fit directly on the SMLE front sight dovetail.

The combination tools in the photograph are both for the P14 rifle. I’m not sure whether the front sights will fit the SMLE dovetail.
