I had thought about reloading for my 1911A1 but my local hardware store keeps a well stocked supply of plinking 45ACP on hand at a very moderate price.
That and I just do not shoot my 1911A1 for fun. I leave that to my Reb Model Steel Frame Colt Navy in .44...

been doing a bit of cartridge conversion cylinders in my 1851 / 1860 / 1858s myself , but nothing uses these short 45s except my webbleys thats why i wanted the dies to load 45AR , i buy all my 45acp as well , im not shooting wild bunch in my CAS shooting and i dont expect to start that .....but if i do i can load those too ,
