agreed that the circus is going ‘round and ‘round...  as is the world economic stabilization.  Sort reminds me of a slot machine wheels spinning, sadly.

From the perspective of the over 65 age group, this thing is every bit as hard hitting as any flu.  The novel part is key...  and the infectious-ness is far higher than any flu.  Thus, mortality amongst we seniors is huge.

The numbers are at best skewed.  Remember the old adage GIGO?  “Garage in, garbage out.” Influences on the numbers that skew them are profound, including level of testing, assessment of locality, health system for the locality, as well as metamorphosis of the virus.

Remember that the communist government in China do not care about their own people, and attempted a cover up...  so their reporting off their incidence is likely all lies, IMHO.  Why would they be straight with the rest of the world when they don’t care at out themselves - is a question I am asking myself as time goes on.

The gorilla in the room is the possible metamorphosis and mutations of the virus,  all virus’s have this capability, and this one may well do so too.  Hard to ignore this gorilla, however our government doesn’t know what to do with it.

It’s a terrible circus to attend.

sometimes I wish I hadn’t written things I wrote.  My above post is an example.  Mostly the bell is hard to un-ring...

This thread caught me at a low point.  I’d like to say “sorry about the rant.”

Like Honkytqlk posted, I was raised an Air Force Brat.  Home environment was strict and fair.  If I screwed it up, no-one else was accountable.  Integrity was reinforced in this way...  also raised my girls in this manner, perhaps a bit more temperant.

Don't fret. You're among family here!

We all feel that way sometimes, this is a good place to simply piss & whine to your friends & he!! Its cheaper than therapy!
(probably better for you too.)

I’ve always like the Garands.  Never pulled a trigger on one, tho.  Those four are real beauties.

I do have a pair of M1 carbines, well only have one now, a Postal Meter manufacture.  I’ll look about for a photo.

Nice looking M1s.  They are so comfortable to shoot.

My range is also closed.  Might be time to take the No. 7 rifle out the back yard.

About two weeks ago, I mentioned to my wife (she's not a fan of Trump, feels he's cocky and arragant) that Trump foresaw the problems in North America due to the reliance of industries that had moved to China. His tariffs on China were to bring industry back. I can't help but feel in Canada and the US, once we weather this storm as democratic nations always do, both our countries will see a boom in "home made" industries and manufacturing. Things may be more expensive due to higher wages here, but in my opinion, it will be well worth it to not support a country that for many years has felt untouchable.
