he!!o. I'm a newbie. A friend of mine gave me his fathers Parker Hale Enfield a few months ago. It was full of dirt and grime from years of sitting. Really did not think I would ever use it, but every time I looked at it in the corner I felt bad for the years it had been neglected and ignored. So... I decided to bring it back to life and get it ready for next years deer season. First lightly rubbed the stock with some 0000 steel wool to remove the crud, was amazed at the beautiful grain that appeared. Got a wedge style scope mount from Ebay, A Vortex 3-9 40 tactical scope, Leather cheek pad for scope viewing, Magpul Ms3Gen2 sling, and New rubber butt pad (made the scope eye relief perfect). I'm pretty(real) excited.

Hi. Not that I can see, I have not removed the stock, so I don't know what's on the hidden part of the barrel. Parker Hale is on front site. I was told it is a Parker Hale Deluxe NO4.

Does either side of the Butt Socket have a crown stamped on it? You may have a very nice P-H original, they were made & are quite rare.

Hey! This new guy has potential! He hasn't once called it a "gun", & has made no references to "stripper Clips" Methinks he's one of "us"!!! ....AND he's at the south!!

Your front sight and stock look like a Deluxe No4 but it came with a 5 round magazine. Not to say yours didn't. The front sights on a Standard No4 look to be original for a Lee Enfield, with the barrel bobbed.

Yes, mine came with 5 round, which I have. The mag in the pic is one I bought. Thanks!

Not sure what the brand is, but after searching, I found this.

I did not see any other choices, it fits good. The price was right, and they shipped it super fast. There is one small area at the top of the rear of the stock that has a small routed area, the butt pad does not completely conceal that. You can see a little of it, not really noticeable and not a big deal to me. My goal was to make the scope relief right. Between the butt pad and the cheek riser, when I quickly pull the rifle to my shoulder, I'm seeing a perfect sight picture through the scope. It works great for my purposes.

I don't know if you're aware of this but butt stocks come in different lengths! Bantam (shortest, marked "B" on top rear) Short (S marked) Normal (unmarked)
& Long (with an L).

I was not aware, probably a lot I'm not aware of with these rifles. Mine is not marked, so I guess it is a normal. Thanks for the info!
