Continues to expand, notably any side by side big game rifles(nitro express type), if you happen to own one don`t get caught using it. All tactical military looking shot guns, all 50cal bmg guns, all m16 style rifles including now Maccabee defense. So on and on it will go. Soon we'll be only be able to shoot slingshots, but i`m sure the liberals will sort that out as well. ------------- shoot em if you got em |

In the UK when we lost our Semi Atuo rifles and later our cartridge loading pistols the government had to pay out the market value and it cost them a fortune. Does this apply to Canada? ------------- Life.. a sexually transmitted condition that is invariably fatal. |

Not as of yet. In May of this year they said they`d look at payout options, though I`m doubtful this will happen. Canada is looking at a forcasted deficit of around $11 trillion doll hairs, I`m sure they wont want to add to that. It`ll end up up being a hand them in or else scenario. Most of these newly banned firearm are non registered types, so good look finding out who owns them, plausible deniability..., except for Quebec, which still has a mandatory firearms registry, sucks to be them!  ------------- shoot em if you got em |

Thanks for posting that Shamu. Very interesting and food for thought. Unfortunately in Europe no one except Law Enforcement are allowed to be sheep dogs. No concealed carry here! In fact I think people are getting so disconnected from each other that they prefer to film a tragedy rather than intervene. Recently a jogger collapsed in a park; due to a heart attack. CCTV showed multiple people jogging past; including one that filemed the person on the ground. Apparently over 20 minutes before someone stopped to help! ------------- It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice! |

The last time the Lie-berals enacted something like this, was back when they enacted Bill C-98(?0 the "long-gun registery". It exploded to more than 10X the estimated cost, & they were never able to tell us exactly how much $ was actually sunk into it & to this day - the gov't accounting office has not been able to track down all the money. The liberal govt under trudeau have now four law suits against them over this gun law. On grounds of constitution issues, freedom of rights and human rights violations. He pushed it through without debate or dicussion from all sides, thats the first no no, abuse of power while in power. Native peoples are exempt, and a violation of basic rights and freedoms. I dont believe we're rolling over on this one. A lot of powerful people and police membership are stepping up to this. If only one case is won, there will be major repercussions. The problem is the "Boy King" is being reffered to as "Teflon Trudeau". The pundits note that - even tho he's breaking all kinds of ethics laws, & doing pretty much as he wants - he's never held accountable. His trip to the Agha Kahn's island @ Christmas (whereby he gave the Khan 15 million of your $$), his interference in the legal case of Lavalin, his quiet settlement with Khadir ($10 million?), his donation (with your $$) to the Clinton Foundation, his playing down of the terrorist invited to the state dinner in India (& his behaviour in India - OI!!), his dictator - type ruling of the gun ban...it goes on & on & on. But he is NEVER held accountable. Even this scandle with WE..His mother (paid $325,000) his brother(paid $35,000), his wife (paid to speak there) & Morneau's 2 daughter working there...@ the end of the day, NOTHING will happen to him. I hear what yer saying..but this is the 3rd time he's been investigated by the ethics committe since he became P.M. 3RD TIME!! He hasn't even rec'd a slap on the wrist...but he's guilty as he!!. What are we supposed to do?? Go out in the streets & riot? (Don't tempt me.) When bad laws are enacted by corrupt govt..the people MUST rise up. I recently read a book about life in a small French town during WWII. The first thing the Nazis did was disarm the population. All firearms were to be handed over to them. Only shot guns could be retained, but had to be handed to the local authorities (Mayor) of the town and only allowed to be used at specific times for hunting. Things don't change much! If you want to control a population and dictate to them; you have to disarm them! ------------- It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice! |

My best friend's parents(well, father anyway) had come to Canada in the 20's as part of a religious group of German mennonites, who foresaw terrible things coming in Europe. They were settled in BarrHead Alta. When the troubles came they were a farming commune outside of town. The RCMP allowed a few shotguns to be kept by them to keep animals away from the crops (& people). They wud come round every few weeks & count the she!!s. If any were missing they had to explain. They all spoke german - yet no-one bothered them..even when they went to town. Times have changed, I guess. I'm a Conservative through and through, and we need to keep Trudeau as the Liberal leader to ensure a win for us... but I'm sure even the Liberal power brokers aren't that stupid. His days are numbered as leader, either by an internal action or a vote of non confidence. |

In the 90's my friend was @ VMI. His political science prof predicted this back then. He foresaw BC & ALTA going their own way, because they have been neglected by Ottawa. (they have most of the resources & a warm water port system & located within the Asian trading ring). Sask & Man would be swallowed up by the States. Quebec wud leave - fall flat on their face, & become france's problem (they started it anyway).
