I am away from both so I cannot compare: when the Indians did the 2A, did they use the No.1 MkIII rear sight base and just cut a sight leaf to match the ramp or made a completely new rear sight base with a different ramp?

Getting correct information from the Indian's has proven difficult, I have believe that they used the old 303 rear sight for the 7.62 NATO and called the 'yards' graduations, 'metres' as the 7.62 trajectory was 'near enough' correct to match the sight graduations with a metre being roughly 10% longer than a yard
