On Monday afternoon I went out to check my tail cameras and halfway through this buck runs up on a ridge approximately 25 yards from me and stops. That was the last thing he did, one bullet through the lungs and down in less then 10 seconds.

I used Speer’s SPRN 180 grain bullet and IMR 4451. I don’t remember the amount of powder off the top of my head but I can dig out my targets later if you want.

So the exact load is; Speer’s 180 RN Hot-Cor on 47.2 grains IMR 4451, seated to a C.O.A.L of 2.969 inches for an estimate muzzle velocity of 2,460 fps (I don’t have a chronograph so I don’t know for sure).

303,
Thanks! I am cataloging loads to try. With all the powder shortages, it's best to have as many possibilities to fall back on.

303 Hunter. I have the twin to your rifle, built by the same gentleman, I believe. Mine likes 150 gr Hornady Spire Points.
