I’ve had a couple No4’s over the years but I am I novice.  My Dad got me into a Enfields over the years.

I have a handful of cutaways in my safe I thought I’d share.  I don’t know much about them.

Any insight would be most appreciated.

Ian Skennerton’s book, The Lee Enfield Story, has descriptions of the Skeletonized rifles and actions.  I don’t have my copy with me at the moment.

I’ve got one of the short barreled No. 1 Skeletonized Action, would love to have a full No. 4 Skeletonized rifle.

I was searching the word cutaway.

Skeletonized is the proper word.  A few hits come up.

Thank you

This is a very nice collection.  They are few and far between in the USA, probably because they are all in your safe!  :)  The full length rifles look a little different to some I have seen in the past, can you share a few details on who made them etc.  They all look like they are in excellent condition.

I know the one in the middle started out as a BSA.   Who machined them into works of art?  I have no idea
