A few days ago I was within a hairs breath of acquiring my fathers Parker Hale Custom No4 Enfield but, as some family situations are concerned, I was left empty handed and scratching my head in wonderment and confusion. It is in good hands and well taken care of but obviously not where it should be as far as I am concerned. Anyways, as soon as I got back home I decided then and there that I would complete the process of bringing the Faux PH Custom No4 to fruition based off of what I was able to remember by looking at the original just hours earlier. Surprisingly, I was dead on in recreating the 5 round magazine as well as the new profile of the reciever from where the charging bridge was rearward. The only finishing touches required was to fit the Sile stockset and to polish the bolt assembly to a high luster along with s few other items. The last time I physically held the original it had 4x32 Nikko Stirling scope on it. It does not have it on it now. The Faux Custom No4 has a 4-16×44 Nikko Stirling. This is as close to what an original PH Custom No4 looks like without actually being an original. It started life as Maltby made No4Mk1 that was updated to a No4Mk1/2 sometime during its life. It currently has a Huber Concepts fully adjustable trigger and has had the 2 stage pull eliminated completely.  The single stage pull has been set to 22 ounces and is as smooth as a Weatherby Mark V. The trigger creep is non-existent as well. It is no longer in its military configuration but rather a Sporting Rifle now.
