They are the same as NATO std ones, shouldn't be a problem.

these are readily available from a number of sources - you may also need the box mag adapter depending on what your charging with them , they made one for both these and the 556 roiunds so be certain if you order one ,

That's what I use. They work great.

Thanks-to all-

PS-Reading through past year or two posts is REALLY a recommended pastime.
As an important example: SMLE pressures: watch reloading pressure and bullet weight. Most of my bullets used are 147-150 gr and factory 308 has to be watched.
Each Ish 2a is probably a law unto itself, but these are older rifles. So to keep shooting w/o repairs or damage-load moderately & watch factory 308/7.62 ammo!

Yeah its 7.62mm NATO, so stripper clips are fine for that caliber. On this side of The Pond!Evil Smile

Apex Gun Parts has them. But their postage rates are higher than
one would expect, unless they are loaded clips.

So H-Do you hunt with your SMLE, or are there other reasons not to have
a sturm gewehr / battle rifle without access to faster loading techniques?
Like-stripper clips. Springfields and Pattern 17 used them, as well as WWI
& WW II SMLE rifles. Curious as to your views.

Absolutely. Stripper clips for 7.62x51 NATO, for U.S. rifle M14.

I will conform to calling .303 versions "Chargers" here because some people get overly upset about it.

I get mine from Sarco. $10 for a 12 pack. Reasonable shipping.

Let me just confirm to you all that during my 8-year service in the British army we referred to the 7.62mm metal things that held 5 rounds as clips! Smile

Just picked up some M14 10 round stripper clips from a local gun show. Don't see the 10 rounders around much anymore.

I have a few, they are a bear to strip out from compared to the 5 rounders. But they do work.

They are a bit tougher to strip. I just figured I "needed" some since I didn't have any. LOL
