Hi guys! I just inherited a rifle from my grandfather. I think it's an Enfield Jungle Carbine conversion. I don't know too much about these rifles or the patterns. It's got a buttpad from Redhead Brand out of Chicago and a Williams sight that have been put on it long, long before I've received it. If anybody could help me with a little history of this thing it would be fantastic. https://imgur.com/a/eL8cK9N%20" rel="nofollow - https://imgur.com/a/eL8cK9N

SnuffyTheSeal: You are the current owner of a very much sporterized SMLE No1Mk111* Ishapore G.R.I. rifle made in the early 40's. The barrel has been cut back to what looks like 20 - 22 inches so no option of restoration to original configuration. Nice little sporter though...

im going to guess his grandfather hunted deer and needed a decent rifle - that one should do the trick , as sporters go this one precludes returning it to original without significant investment so i would enjoy it for what it is - probably a good shooter ,
