Preface: I had to cut up an original sling as well as the reproduction sling to make this work. I used a Leather Sewing Awl with waxed polyester thread to replicate the stitching from the reproduction items. Everything is holding together quite well so I am thinking this is a success.
All comments good or bad welcome...

Looks good, I think. I used to make a lot of stuff with an Awl and sewing rig for when I needed something.
Its one of those things that the more you do it the easier it gets.
Anyway, where did you get the buckles?
Thats what I always had a hard time l locating. Buckles that were decent without jumping through all kinds of hoops or settling for a certain type that I was happy with.
They look pretty decent to me.

Looks good! Is that for off-hand/sitting, etc  shooting? I was never a sewer, but this past year I've hand made three pair of leather moccasins.

That's a good idea.
I would like to see a photo of it in use; so I can see how it works.

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

Goosic, that looks spot on for a SR"b" sling, in fact one of the "Parkers" supplied something very similar for those who weren't keen on the 2" wide target variety.
Good work!

This sounds  like a good use for repro slings & new brass fittings?
