This is apparently on show today at Kempton Park Race Course arms fair in the UK.
There's a whisper that the seller wants 2k (£) for it; I've never seen one although I did once own an original Flanders mud flap.

The seller should put it in a live auction with the starting bid at 2000 pounds instead of selling it outright then. He will undoubtedly quintuple that price within minutes...

Think you could fab up something similar for a No5, Goosic?

Peter Sarony who owns Armalon in the UK has knocked some of these up in the past (pre 1990?) in the days of Practical Rifle, since surpassed by Civilian Service Rifle.
I think the arrival the Remington 700's probably helped kill the UK market for an Enfield 20 rounder as well.

I have pondered that for quite awhile now and I think it can be done using a Bren LMG magazine...

Bren mag is way to long (front<>rear).
The originals had a terrible reputation for jamming & generally poor feeding.

So if 200000 of these were made by 1918, were pray tell did they all go.
Surely there must be a fare few around. I heard rumors that a bunch came to Canada for some self loading smle experiments???
Only 75000 cruciform bayonets were made and I managed to get one.
As to the Q of making one; combining 2 10 rounders would end up being a straight stick type and not as cool looking as the original. Then the issue of finding or making a suitable follower spring..... Not worth the effort and definitely not worth $4000 for an original,... holy smokes!!!!

I seem to recall readingthat the 20 round Lee Enfield magazines were tested on the early model Charlton Automatic rifle, but were dropped to use a modified Bren Magazine (which also fed poorly).

A Vickers-Berthier magazine could work with some minor modifications...

I wonder how much the Bren and other top fed magazine LMG's relied on gravity along with the spring for feeding?

Gravity is such a wonderful thing when you are trying to get ammo to feed, downwards into the action. hence the success of the bren, vickers- berthier, Owen sub machine gun and many others.
The sten compromised with side feeding.   So many other good weapons were let down by poor magazine design.
