I have seen a #1/MK3 rifle that was purported to have been used by the German army. To anyone's knowledge here, is there any evidence for this? German markings stamped onto the rifle? Thx. ------------- Castles made of sand slip into the sea.....eventually |

I have seen a No1 Mk3 with German police marking from the early post war time. ------------- Always looking for military manuals, Dodge M37 items,books on Berlin Germany, old atlases ( before 1946) , military maps of Scotland. English and Canadian gun parts. |

Is the marking like a very small crest? The rifle I have seen has a small crest and a serial type# of 101-H stamped beside the small crest. The stamping is so small a magnifying lens is needed.  ------------- Castles made of sand slip into the sea.....eventually |

| im not sure how many no1 rifles were used but im thinking there were probably a lot available at that point in time - the no4 was now the service rifle |
