Hey!
Ed here.
Might you have a extra cheap FN C1 bayonet for a old gray hair cheap person like me?
Yes I am cheap, I would not give a cripple crab a crutch.
Cheers!
Ed

Had one a while back, the bayonet not a Scottish wife. If cheap you mean $200, is what I got for it. Mind you that`s Cnd dollars, about 50 bucks USD, so ya, that`av been cheap.
I had a complete FN-C1 as issued, then in 1998 it became prohibited so I sold it a few yrs back, retaining the bayo scabbard and frog.

Ya the point is pretty much moot anymore, kill the bastard or vote in another minority gov`t and watch us go nowhere again. I luved that rifle, but selling it was better than going to jail, cause I just couldn`t stop using it!!!!

Strange times.
The Canada I know as a young person is gone and I am sadden. I am glad my Grandparents and my Uncles are not here to see this crime.
I see my own country slipping under a dark cloud. I went to school where students worked on gun in metal shop class. To ok unloaded guns on the school bus with a note from my Mother.
Used to buy ammo at hardware store.
I am glad I am a child of the old South. A Rebel son I am and when I pass I shall lay in Southern soil. With help from Higher Authority I shall pass my God Given to my children and Grandchildren.
My maternal Grandfather Father carried a Ross rifle in 1914 and still rest some where in France. My MaMere married a American and move to South Boston with her four children. My Family bridges two countries.
Sometimes I hold my Ross rifle in lap and look at photos before my time to understand or try to understand my history.
I will get off my ammo box and shut up.
Cheers!

Its good to embrace one`s history. Mine in a nut she!!, on my fathers side we were kicked out of Scotland in the early 1700`s to outside of London, we owned a thriving Inn. My grandad left England and was sent to the colonies(Canada) volunteered for service in 1914, thrice wounded, retired to Tobermory Ontario. On my mothers side, All I was told was my grandmother and her folk were united empire loyalist. That`s all I know from that. Me like others here, fondly remember when Canada was a Great Nation, and I proudly wore the uniform and served, How sad we are now.

I remember coming to The USA & Canada for the first time (visiting family) back in 1968. They would all be collectively spinning in their graves at what both countries have become. I know I am.

I left Canada in 1997 to live and work in the US. I’ve come back every year to see my Mom and Dad. Mom has been gone for 15 years now, Dad is still here, and is 91 years of age. I’m up with him right now.
I don’t recognize this country anymore. It has rejected its past, especially its British roots. Very few here know about the sacrifices made by Canadians in the two weeks wars. But we remember. Here is a photo taken today off the dock at Dad’s, our family cottage built in 1974 that Mom and Dad retired to in 1988. Note the flag.

I remember that flag.
As long as life remains in me I shall not forget the price Canada payed to be free.

i think we all need to be educated on the "two weeks" war , was that an effort to achieve independence ? i know nothing of this - we need to know ,
im a scottsman , im cheap , i get it ,
i had a couple of those over the years - i wish i had one still yto send to you , but they are long gone now , , i think they are still readily available if you seek them out but ill not be able to say about prices these days , they were not too spendy when i got mine tho - some of the less expensive i bought over the years as i recall ,

I'm embarrassed to admit even though I was born in Canada (London Ontario, 1950) I remember almost nothing of it. My family (Canadian Father, English Mother) moved to England when I was Three, so I'm told. I grew up in England. I have one memory only of London, or Canada. I somehow fell off this Green Wrought iron bridge, into a river (canal?) It was only a few feet & I was living close to the river/canal. It was winter! I got out of the water & went home (close by?) My Paternal Grandmother saw me & ran a tub of warm water, But couldn't unbutton the thick overcoat which was frozen solid by then. She simply chopped the wooden toggle buttons of with Kitchen shears & flung me (clothes & all) into the hot tub. When we went there in the 1960's There had been so many changes nothing even rang a bell. I honestly have no Idea what exact nationality I am.

ill pass - my grandfather had hagis and boiled cabbage every friday - i hated how their house smelled that night , but he taught me a bit about golf in my young years , not that it stuck - i no longer play nor want to
as to being canadian - my ancestors left scotland in two directions - one to austrailia [those folks are still there, my folks visited once] and the other to canada , they then migrated to ohio , then down river to arkansas [thats generally where i start the tree as i recall some of them in my life , then started that northern move that ended in me here just south of canada , i have no relatives im aware of left in canada but who knows ,

Beer is good. Scrapple is more of a breakfast food though. I love it sliced 1/4" & sat on top of a home-fry patties with a fried egg on top!

I shall remember scrapple with a smile. Due to the salt contact I can not longer eat it.
Beer is a wish too. Might cheat and drink half with my Sons.
The joy of getting old. My chest looks like a road map. But as long as life remaining he with me I shall enjoy life.
Maybe a wee nip of Scottish, MacCallum's.

I feel for you, I really do. Luckily I seem to be ( crosses fingers) one of those disgustingly healthy old codgers! All I do is take a low dose blood pressure pill in the smallest dosage.
