Evening gents,

Have a sporterized No1 Mk3 with what seems to be an approximately 12 3/4" LOP.

Looking at options to increase the LOP, they seem to be:

Replace the stock- would prefer not to have to do this.

Slip on recoil pad- possible but not permanent.

Extend the existing stock.  Does anyone make extensions?  Otherwise looks like just removing the butt plate and adding a piece shaped to mate up to the old stock.  Will probably top it off with a regular rubber recoil pad.

Thoughts?

Don't forget drilling for the butt cap storage tube!
Personally I'd just go for a slip-on rubber butt pad & remove it when not in use to prevent marking the stock.Big smile

Thanks for the replies.

As mentioned it's already been sporterized so originality isn't a concern. Have to recut the slots on the butt plate screws, will update on how that goes.

It would be nice to have a replacement rubber buttpad to switch out the metal one!

How aboot an aftermarket L-E Monte Carlo? With one bolt you can put a longer pistol grip stock On then just put the original On when dislaying.
