Happy 4th of July to all!
I am recently retired and have been very busy making our property in the foothills as fire safe as possible. Now that burning is banned for the season and hot temperatures have set in, I am looking forward to learning all my brain can handle as respects my Enfield and M1 rifles. Dad has given me a few tutorials on reloading and hope to get my shop set up soon.
Cheers!

Howdy NorCal, I'm a newbie here too! Wondering if this site is very active. We live in northern AZ, retired too. Just discovered this site but have owned my Enfield for decades. Looking forward to some restoration ideas and upgrades.

Regards, Dave Kay

Its a fairly small site, but its active.
It may take a day or two for a mod to OK a post or to get a reply to a Technical question from the "right guy", because we're not all always on line every day. Never any longer than that & frequently less.

Thanks Shamu, oddly, this is the first Enfield site I've come across. But then again, I never really searched one specifically! Anyway, I've been a Enfield fan since the late 80's when i bought my first one. Bought up a bunch of Greek XP ammo for it and have done some reloading for the .303 with successful results. Looking forward to exploring the site and learning more about these rifles. ciao 4 now

Howdy Dave!
Welcome!  While I haven't yet had much time to explore and learn, it looks like this forum has a number of knowledgeable members who, if they don't know the answer, know where to find it.

Hey Paddy, I see one of you're interests is old Dodge military trucks, are you familiar with the Steel Soldiers site? Lotta' stuff there if your so inclined.

Way back in my Operating Engineers apprenticeship days (early 1980's) we green-apprentices all rode around the huge million-acre Lockheed rocket test site in California, aka our training site, in old surplus Dodge trucks and ambulances. Man, they were a rough ride sittin' on those narrow little bench seats in the back, being tossed around like deep-fryer basket of French fries!

BTW: I own a bone stock M1008 ex-radio-comms truck (aka, civi Chevy K30) diesel powered CUCV w/65,000 original miles on the OD. Scored that at a mil-surplus sale for $1400 bucks back in 2010! She's still a strong runner too! (tho I baby her like a new-dad!)

Cheers!

Welcome from Brandon, Manitoba, Canada! Where we honour our NATO commitments and protect our allies by fighting the climate change war! We do this by taxing our overtaxed citizens then giving that money to bogus companies who are related to or are friends of our government! We sacrifice a lot so our allies can sleep peacefully at night knowing Canada is "standing post on the wall" defending the world from the climate!

I agree! But he forgot to mention one venue:"The world can count on Canada to send the tax money wrung out of the overly taxed people to countries all around the world, as our Grand Pooba visits them!"
