Finally took this ol gal apart for cleaning. She is a greasy mess under the wood. Bolt and magazine were packed with grease. Great shape, just slow to clean up. I do have to address the draws, though. My big question is why repair the foreend cracks if you are not going to fix the draws? Bit of an oversight there.   |

| Not sure why I never thought of it before, but today I ordered some sheet brass. Just a 6"x2" sheet that is 1/8" thick. Perfect thickness for making brass plates for the draws. Pretty cheap, too. |
