After a very long delay, the new Collector’s View books are finally printed, get your holiday reading!
Comprising three new volumes, the Rifle No. 4 and Rifle No. 5 are explored in detail. The first two books on the Rifle No. 4 and Rifle No. 5 line are initially being sold as a set, with the book on the Sniper variations of the Rifle No. 4 available separately.
The style of the books has slightly changed with the addition of detailed examples of most rifle and bayonet variations. I have also tried to include those rifles that have not been explored in detail in previous books.
Book 3
A Collector’s View: The Lee-Enfield Rifle No. 4, Part 1 1931-1945
Comprising 268 pages in length with over 1700 photographs, this book starts with the RSAF Enfield’s initial manufacture of the Trials Rifle No.1 Mark VI and concludes with the Bayonet, No. 7 Mark I. The differences between the models of Rifles No. 4 and No. 5 during World War II are explored, along with their bayonets and the individual subcomponents that make up the rifles. Included is a redacted chapter on the Rifle No. 4 T, as a separate book was required to explore it. This book also goes into great detail on the Bayonets, No. 4, No. 5, and No. 7, for those who collect bayonets.
Book 4
A Collector’s View: The Lee-Enfield Rifle No. 4, Part 2 1946-1983
Comprising 300 pages in length with over 1800 photographs, this book starts with the post-war FTR programs for the Rifles No. 4 and No. 5 and concludes with the Charnwood 7.62 MM Rifle No. 4 Conversions. The differences between the post-war models of Rifles No. 4 are explored, along with their bayonet and subcomponent variations. Included is a redacted chapter on the L42A1, as it is also explored in detail in the sniper book. Similar to Part 1, this book also goes into great detail on the Bayonet No. 9 for those who collect bayonets.
Book 5
A Collector’s View: “T” The Lee-Enfield Rifle No. 4 Sniper
Comprising 354 pages and over 1900 photographs, this book starts with RSAF Enfield’s initial conversions of the Trials Rifle No. 4 and concludes with their Enforcer 7.62MM Sniper Rifle. All variations and known manufacturers of the sniper's main components are explored in detail. In addition, there is a view of the foreign variations of the Rifle No. 4 Sniper. Written as a standalone book, it does reference the previous two books, and they are recommended to be obtained together.

Mine also on order. I plan to wrap them and put them under the Christmas tree, and enjoy reading them while sipping on eggnog.
