my question would be , if you divorced the woman you were married to is her siblings and parents still your in laws ? i say no as the "in law" condition only existed because of the marriage

I talk to one of my first ex wife's brothers from time to time.

He is my older daughter uncle.

The last of his family line.

im with you canuck , while i never really had ill feelings of either of my two EXs mothers , i really only miss the seconds leftsa , 

paddy - i see that connection and if i had ever had one like that i might feel differently , 

the only reason i brought this up is it came up as a topic on another site - slightly different context but it got me thinking on things ive not thought of in decades - might not want to think on them again either
