I hope this isn't a repost, but I just bought a type III  SMLE, stamped GR, BSA Co., 1918, Sht. LE III 10928 on the wristband (right side). This is the .410 version, and is stamped .410 RFI 1930 on the left. I assume that's when the conversion was done at Ishapore.  At any rate, I'd like to find the proper bayonet for it, and don't know what to look for. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

without photos im at a disadvantage , but , the indians cut down original P1907 bayos by all of the manufactureres as well as making new 12" bayonets for their rifles ,

i dont know why , i cant explain the logic , but it was done , so yes if its a shortened P07 its most likely for that purpose ,

i once owned a couple 410s and an ishy 303 as well as the 2A1 rifle , i had a variety of these bayonets to go with them but all are now gone as well as all of my research materials , i cant even go back and check but if memory serves ..........

they cut P07s down , manufactured 12 " P07 types both fullered[im not positive on this]  and unfullered and both with and without the false edge ,and with standard pommel and the squared version ,

congrats on a nice find - do post photos , we love to live vicariously
