Before looking at the pictures and instructions I want it known that this rear sight was very filthy, gunky, and frozen up prior to my working on it. It was a lot of patience that made it the sight you see in these pictures. Before I even attempted taking it apart I soaked the sight in oil for a total of 6 weeks. Once a week I would take and gently scrub all the exposed areas with a nylon brush in hot, soapy water and then return the sight to it's oil immersion. To work on these without damaging them takes a large amount of patience. Do not rush it. I have also found that the sight functions much better when greased during reassembly. Oil is not heavy enough, a light grease works wonders. With that said, I hope the following pictures are helpful and informative.
