just got a sporterized enfield looks to be carbine,  some of the markings are still there but i cannot find the stamped serial number,  there is a number that was eched into the gun it reads
YA-UG-HD-P627MC   any help at all would be great.

   750x3240 pixels, thats massive.
 I've been waiting and trying to look at your pic's for 1/2 hour, still won't open, what can be viewed is terrible.
 Please resize your pic's down under the max of 500 pixels so that everyone can see them without total distortion.

P627MC  ?  Possibly BSA,  should have M47C +year(45,46) above serial number on left side of butt socket.
 If the barrel is original, you will find the S/N here on the barrel..

Has someone machined of the bridge for the loading clips? Would that not weaken the structure a bit!
