Tested zero still within an inch of zero after 2 years and lots of hard hunting.

LOL!!!!  Hey Hoadie, Remember how fast Lisa left us out by the fire the first night at the cabin after you said the noise in the woods could be a bear , and then told the story of you getting caught in the same spot with a bear btween you the cabin and the shotgun ???
LOL!! She wont admit it , but thats why she beat feet back into the cabin !!!  Sleepy my but , she was reading a book when we went.... Uh Stumbled in !!!!  LOL!!

..and we coulda been attacked at ANY time, by those red squirrels!
But we got through it..wot troopers!

Is your Enfield stock or sporterized? Been up north bow hunting, nothing so far.

Yes   Aftermarket stock spotter. Boyd's. posted photos with antelope a few years back. Should still be on the forum.

No deer taken on that hunt. Preparing for gun deer season in Wisconsin.

Is Wisconsin SHOTGUN only?
No rifle hunt?
Funny that..you'd think with all the open space there, rifle would be the big hunt.

Most of Wi. was rifle with only the Southern parts shotgun. This year the DNR made the whole state rifle!

really - we are still split here , but then based on what ive been seeing at the range lately that may be a good thing .................................

had a fellow make his third trip out with more amo that cost a bunch , first trip he was carryin a brand new riflew and scope - swore it was boresighted by the sales staff a gander mountain , he did take the tag off before walkin onto the range , but the scope mounts were loose - a couple boxes of ammo later he was off to get professional advice from the guy he bought it from , second trip it was tight and "BORESIGHTED" , wrong , a couple boxes of ammo later he was off for more professional help , at least he talked to a gunsmith this time , last trip he got her sighted in , now he has a black&blue shoulder and is out a bunch of expensive ammo , but he is sighted in should he see a deer and not fall out of his stand .............

Now I'm REALLY confused.
If the state is ALL rifle..why is he preparing for the "GUN" hunt in Wisc?

Hi!

they are roe deer. Capreolus Capreolus. Adult animals between 15 to 20 Kg, i.e 30 to 40 pounds in central Europe.
Two ladies an a male youngster on the pic. They live often in proximity to populated areas and enter even city- parks, gardens or airfields. They can be seen in broad daylight alongside the autobahns (interstates in US terms) Wery lovely game, nice no see, fine to eat.

Are these deer found in Blighty, as well?
Guess I'm spoiled..our deer are like DEERASAURUS compared to these critters.
Nonetheless-fine looking specimens..bet they're tasty!

You could throw a whole one on the pit !!!  I remember seeing them tiny deer when I was stationed in Germany !!!!!
A 25mm will obliterate one !!!!!  and the range keepers wont share the meat with ya !!  I know We asked !!!
Actually Sgt. Deshotels AKA Des , Came up with the idea of picking up the meat when we policed the range the next morning. and cooking it for us ..but when we got out on the range we could find no meat !!!
Later we got to see the meat in the freezer they had in the back of the range room!!!!

30-40 lbs , guess i see why ya-all need to get a mess of them to make a meal , we do that with brim here too ,

the last two white tails taken here in the last week dressed out over 200 lbs , granted they were big ones , but a small one dresses out at 120 lbs

Our average Deer weighs in at about 120 on the hoof , I wanted to weigh the one Boogie just killed but was to sleepy to remember since he woke me up on the only day that I had planned to sleep in after a night of Drinking with Des and Son in Law !!!!!!!!
Guess the hang over didnt help the memory much !!!

There ya go agin,Rhino! You sure are a bad influence on poor ole "Lootent Dan"! lol
"Capreolus Capreolus you say?...Hmmm..guess our deer would be "Supersonicus Rex" They put a whole new meaning to the term "FAST FOOD".
For the life of me, I cant figure out how something that large, can fly thru the thick bush - with the afterburners on - and barely leave a sign..& disappear so blinkin fast!
Yet when they're just walkin around-they leave all kinds of sign
I dunno...guess if I had ALL the answeres, I could run for God..

or just drop south and run for pres , the current occupant in spite of thinking himself a deity is falling very short ,

and recent polls say im not the only one thinkin that - even some of his faithful followers must be thinking about abandoning the flock , funny .... just watched a history channel expose on jim jones and his cult , i was acutely aware of the similarities of the two,

you canuks got lotsa room to talk , with negative double digits below zero , and the grizzleys/wolves/mountain lions it can get a tad extreme up there as well ,

i do sympathize with the fires and floods of recent tho , it does seem bad luck has been the norm , hope it settles some this year , you ndo realize the global climate change freaks are using events like that to push for added taxes on any country that has an economy worth pillaging ?

You talk bout double digit below zero..Hamilton & Saskatchewan are playing in the Grey Cup this weekend(our Superbowl). The Riders opted to practice indoors yesterday..The Tiger Cats opted for outdoor practice to get used to the climate(its -36 today) A bunch of Tiger Cats ended up with frostbite!! If it wasn't such an important game-you'd just chuckle & shake your head..but now they have a problem.
