Hoadie, I hope everyone is safe, North or South. I have 2/3 of my family North of the line and more North of the Canadian line. I just heard from friends on the West (Caribbean) Coast of FL. Some wind & rain,but noting serious. It seems many have lost power, but the storm isn't really ashore so much of the real nasty stuff is out at sea. obviously missed something here , im genuinely concerned for all of my southern friends , please know it , i hope all of you are safe remember my ancestors fought for the south in arkansas but i have never thought of any of us as anything but americans - im good with the stars and bars as an american flag that deserves respect not the political BS it has been saddled with , its still alive in my home

Living on the west coast of Canada we don't get storms like these you are experiencing in the southern USA, so I can only imagine what it is like just seeing video clips and photos on the TV. Godspeed to all here and their families who are experiencing nature's wrath. Please be cautious, we love you all like brothers and sisters up here in Canada, many of us including myself have family ties and close friends in the USA. ------------- Castles made of sand slip into the sea.....eventually |

Guess some of the most historic cities are in Matthews sights now. Looks like Charleston, S.C. is about to get a "blow job" next. Not all of the historic sites can be re-built after one of these monsters. (And lives are never quite the same, after) The plantation where we did North & South was severely damaged (I forget just which storm it was), but it never regained the old look it had after. I have lots of rain and some high winds. So far lights still on, cable still works, and lots of beer. Passing by me on the right out to sea mostly. Temps dropped sharply over night little continuing rain & wind picked up.
