Welcome Kevin!

Hope you get a shooter soon.  :-)

Bonny part of the world, where you live.   Used to go up there for holidays when we lived in Yorkshire.
Been in Canada 33 years now. Never been home yet!

Richard.

And Scotch, fit for the Gods!

Next let's move on to women.

My Wife is Scottish.

She can handle a Enfield with a SMLE!

Kevin,

That living history event, Is it at Rydale folk museum?  We lived over near Scarborough, so only 20 mins away.
What sort of living history doings is it?
Here on the farm, we have  a half-built Iron -Age round -house.  Sadly it's been that way a few years now!  Never get time to get at it.
I dug up an ancient, (well, 1923 or so) McCormick -Deering binder, and restored it. All new wood and such, so I could cut some wheat for thatching the round -house.
Old binder works a treat, but TIME isn't my friend....Could cry when I think of all the stuff I want to get done...

he!!o and welcome to the forum!

I have some Scots ancestry on my Mother's side  they were Montgomerys.

Boyd's on this side of the pond at one time made a reproduction M1917 (P17) stock that can be adapted

Originals do appear from time to time.

Boyds make nice stocks, I have on on my No5. But be warned their customer service is a bit dodgy.

welcome , i see im late to the party and everyones been nippin from their flasks ,

there are subtle differences in the remington/winchester stocks and a definite difference in the ERA version , but you might actually have luck finding the scotts made one that was used as a replacement at weedons
