Are you saying wood all the way to the muzzle & it's actually stamped "No5 Mk1"?
I've never seen or heard of any such thing. But there have been oddball aftermarket "fantasy guns" like the "Tanker" which never existed in military form.

Kind of cool looking, but I must agree on the Tanker! Somebody did a nice job!

Actually, no flash arrester and the front site "ears", by my poor eyes, looks like a No4.

Ok. One more thing! Butt stock doesn't have the side sling loop incorperated, nor a rubber recoil pad.

Shamu said,"fantasy gun." I turned an Enfield No4Mk1 into a Pistol using a Mossberg 500 pistol grip. It ended up looking almost like a Remington XP100.

I recall seeing these offered in the SGN in the last century. Possibly one the Santa Fe line. SOG had something like this in the mid 80's along with the #5 carbines made from MkIII's.

Canadians in my front yard.

A 1941 Enfield.

Didn't we once go down to Washington, burn down the White House, get drunk then come back home? I guess we thought then as we do now their beer is to weak!😁

The site can't find your file, that's where the problem is.
Is it hosted on line somewhere?
Is it really big? There's a limit on the size the server will accept.

Looks like a No4 Mk1 to me, with a somehow shortened barrel. To see if it started life as a No5, the thing to do is check the weight lightened areas. Also the rear sight will be marked differently (in terms of range, can't recall exactly offhand but it only goes up to something like 800 yds).
But the markings sure would be interesting to see....

hey - you canadians are always welcome in washington - you can check out the new digs we built after the fire , id not come armed tho - security is high these days with all the terrorism chit in the world as you well know ,

..we didn't burn the whole thing down..the fire got put out & then they white-washed it.(Hence - the "White House".
Funny thing about that is they didn't believe that our side was marching on washington..until we were on the front lawn!

I got the images a few days ago, but unfortunately no forum name, user ID, post link & so on & I just figured out where they were supposed to go!
Sorry for the delay, here they are:
To me it looks like a real No5 that's been retro fitted with a cut down No 4 "Tanker" style stock?

Unfortunately collectors are a picky bunch. They want everything 101% authentic, right down to leaving dings dirt & rust in place as they consider it all a part of the gun's history.
From their point of view its a "sporterised" Bubba, with no history to speak of & because of that its drastically devalued.
They'd value it the same as my sporter no5,

If they were interested at all they'd be assessing it as a barreled action only, no wood at all, the wood would go & they'd then find a "correct" set of No5 furniture & restore it back to "normal" & Correct. That would be expensive as No5 furniture is rare & so expensive today.

Because of all that you'd be lucky to get US$ 120~150. Sorry.

unfortunately that is true - here , might be different somewhere else but then why are you thinking of it ? as a collector or a shooter ? it may well serve your needs/purpose without thinking of the cost , as an investment it will not pay you back - if you buy it do so to enjoy it ,
