Well, I pulled my sick butt outa bed today and went to the Sacramento, CA gun show. I must say, I was VERY disappointed. There were so few Enfields that I was wondering why I was there. On top of that, I think the number of booths selling things other than guns actually outnumbered the gun related booths. I saw a No.4 Mk.I that was in pitiful condition and the guy wanted $250.00 US for it. I kinda chuckled and then walked off. Am i wrong in thinking the guy was nuts for selling a No.4 for 250.00? Or, is the supply so terrible that the going rate is in the 25.00 range?

Cause there's a sucker born every minute! I'm sure he had it priced that high because he knew he could sell it. Oh well, atleast I wasn't that particular sucker!!! LOL

I saw the same rifle at that show Saturday, he was at the entrance area of the second building right?! Yeah I chuckled inside: 1- at the price, and 2- cause I had just gotten mine for a lot less!

We live in Lincoln/Rocklin area. Lincoln has a range, but you have to pay. I know I know...but we used to live in Redding and it was a 5 minute drive to BLM land which is always available and private for shooting. So for the past 4-5 months of living down here I haven't shot at all. I heard around georgetown, if you get off the road a mile or so they dont mind you shooting. I also have a buddy who lives east of Placerville in the Sommerset area and it's rural enough to shoot on his property. But other than lining up or schedules to be able to shoot there I have no place to go shooting really? Any one know of a place in the Sac area?

I'm in the same boat you are! I live in Roseville and I have no choice but to shoot at the Lincoln range. Have you ever been out to the Spenceville range near camp far west? I've been there and was a little scared because it wasn't monitored and therewas no range master. It seemed like every moron with a gun was there and they didn't know the most basic safety for firearms.

You heard of any BLM within reasonable driving distance to shoot on? I haven't been to either shooting range. I am not a big fan of the monitored ranges. Just feels weird. I don't like to shoot w/ the morons...there were plenty in Redding (beer and a assault rifle!?). But I like the freedom to shoot when I want, move when I want, and place targets when I want...I just need a nice piece of private property really.

Honestly, I haven't heard of any BLM in the area. If you come across any, let me know and I'll do the same.
