If it only has ERA and the serial number then it was a Pattern '14. If it was an M1917 it would say US Model of 1917 right on top of the receiver.

oh that pesky nomenclature again , i see what you all are seeing now - even without seeing it , i had read enfield action and jumped to conclusions , not a good thing here - ever
