   I will but my 12 year old grandson is the one who will be shooting it in Service Rifle matches once I have a load that doesn't put his shoulder out.

	I have only just started checking it over and have yet to strip it completely down and give it a good clean as it's been stored for the last 25 years and never shot but I will check the barrel float out at some point

	That 3rd sling swivel also allows you to directly attach a "ching" type sling. Are you intimately familiar with the oddities of the 2-piece Lee Enfield stock? If not please read up on it BEFORE disassembly as its possible to inadvertently damage the bedding removing the wood. I have the pictorial manual if you need a copy. I also have a modern replica with clear, legible type & new images for the P-H sight. That has a few idiosyncrasies too.

	Shamu has already warned you about first being very sure you know how to disassemble the rifle, especially how to remove the forend. You can very easily, and most certainly, damage the forend wood surfaces that bear up on the sear axis pin lugs which are critical for accuracy buy removing the forend by separating it from the barreled action at the muzzle. It must be separated by keeping the forend parallel to the action body from the rear. Reloading the .303 is quite straight forward. Jacketed bullets that are .311 to .312 in diameter work best. Lots of information here on the reloading forum, I suggest you look thru it. 40 grains of ADI AR2208 (sold in the US as Hodgdon Varget) works exceptionally well with the Sierra 174 gr Matchking or the Hornady 174 gr BTHP Match. Seat bullets to magazine length, 3.05 inches for reliable feeding. If you are looking for light loads, I recommend ADI AR2206H (sold in the US as Hodgdon H4895), you can safely reduce loads to 60% of case volume with this powder. I recommend PPU cases if you can get them. Neck size only with the Lee Collet neck sizing die. This is necessary to get any reasonable case life in the Lee actioned rifles. Most likely you will find the chamber has a long throat and you won’t get close to the lands. The No. 4 will shoot well with many combinations of components, I wouldn’t expend barrel life in an extended test program, it’s hard to find replacement barrels. Pick a suitable powder, low to mid range charge in published load data and go shoot. It’s not a match rifle and never will be.

	I would very much appreciate anything manual wise with regard to the rifle and the site as every little helps trying to maintain these rifles as opposed to shoot clean and pass back to the armourer. How would I get this info though do you require an email or would you post on here? TIA Steve
