I need to remove and replace the front sight and have been looking for a sight pusher that works with M.L.E.'s.  I've tried a brass drift punch to no avail and all the commercial sight pushers I've found on the interweb are either for pistols or for No.4 rifles.  Anyone got any ideas?

Would one for an SMLE (No1 MkIII) work?

Use some good penetrating oil and let it sit for a few hours then tap it with the brass drift, "left to right". Next take some heat and apply it to the sight block just enough to turn the metal a lighter shade of its existing color and then tap that sight with the brass drift again. Should start moving...

Greetings

I need to remove the front sight on my Enfield no. 1 Mk. 3 Isaphor.

Were you able to get the sight off on your rifle?

Based on my experiences with an Aussie one Censored ConfusedI firmly believe they are "sided", they only come out one way.
Try bashing it in the opposite direction or get a cheap pusher!
"I can't speak for British made SMLE's, but the Orange arsenal (Lithgow) ones front sights definitely are "handed"!
they come out Left> Right!"
