he!!o chaps.

Its always nice to see Enfield's.....  Enfield's:- from Musket to Rifle, that have not been chopped about or abused by Bubba and his friends. For me its the SMLE. So here in a way of sharing... a little 'eye candy!'

Top to bottom....  1903 SMLE No.1 Mk.1 (BSA & Co.), 1911 SMLE No.1 Mk.3 (Enfield), 1916 SMLE No.1 Mk.3* (Enfield).

This is MY rifle, there are many like, but this one... is MINE!

Had a customer come into my shop thats been dealing with me for some time ... he just got the Enfield bug ... He asks about an Enfield that he seen that was sported ...and asked me if he should get it ....$169 they wanted for it , or he talked them down too ...but anyhow ..he got it ...and now since I looked at it and it can be brought back to full Military glory ...he wants me to help him find the furniture ....LOL!! Looks like him and I will have to sit on the floor of my shop with all my plastic boxes with Enfield parts ....Might bring back memories of my Child hood playing with Legos !!! But any how ...the Enfield he found sported is a Lithgow !!!!  Oh and this Guy also found a No#5 JC for $269 and he bought one for me when he got his ....The guy just has this wicked Luck about him !!!

You do not see many E.R. in my parts of the States.
Always looking for military manuals, Dodge M37 items, books on Berlin Germany, old atlases ( before 1946) , military maps of Scotland. English and Canadian gun parts.

Gentlemen.... it's very pleasing to see the Enfield interest from far and wide. Please, now that this post has generated the spark, it would really be superb to keep it flowing.

However... when posting or commenting... no converted or chopped items please! lets see if we can uncover all of those 'PURE' gems that are out there.

Bear43... as you have asked, i'll take a set of detailed pics shortly and post here for you! Thumbs Up

Terrylee... a couple of really nice No1's you have there, and a very nice collection all together. How rare are the No.5's in your part of the world? I think that due to them not actually going into mainline production, they must be pretty rare anywhere.
This is MY rifle, there are many like, but this one... is MINE!

By all means keep it flowing!

One of the nice things about this forum is the diversity. Shooters, collectors, old hands & Newbies can all freely interchange info on a very wide area with no problems.

A warning to the few who come here just to sow disruption & abuse. & it is a few & they know exactly who they are.

Do Not try it in this thread. This is your only warning, there won't be any others.

To everyone else, enjoy your dialog this does not apply to you. Feel free to show & tell your goodies.
Don't shoot till you see the whites of their thighs. (Unofficial motto of the Royal Air Force)
