If I ask nice, Will you send me one, MJ??

Lovely examples!

I only have an old M24, but it shoots V well, plus a M 91-30 Finned model.

Congrats on such nice ones!

Have you asked Martti to look up any history on them, if Civil Guard marked?

Mine belonged to Nurmo Civil guard, who got chopped on the Karelian isthmus at  the end of the Winter War.  (March, 1940)

I wish I would have invested in some Finn rifles back when they were cheap. In my ignorance of the time I equated them to the Russian rifles and thought if they were as rough as that then I didn't want them.

MJ,

Your photos are gone.  Woul dlove you to replace them.
H-T,

Arctic birch is the wood used.
Sometimes we see a cross-breed where an old US-made (Walnut) M 91 stock has been grafted to a newer birch fore-stock.
All these stocks are spliced at the fore-end as part of the  way they were made.

MJ,

Would like to see more photos my friend!!.  :-)

All the best,

Richard.

No. In both instances it says "The image you are requesting does not exist or is no longer available".

That's really odd. I can see both of them?
Let me ask Eric, maybe he has an idea.
