Is there a "correct" way to charge the stripper clip? Should I be concerned about the cartridge rims overlapping 'backwards', or will they sort themselves out during the loading process? I only have 4 dummy rounds, and I'm not about to play with live ones.

Well for starters always load them all the way full.  Nothing is more annoying them trying to close the bolt on a gun and the cases hanging up on each.  The best way to load the strippers is one up, one down etc.

Kind of hard to explain and unfortunately I don't have pics.

So, I guess nobody has an answer.

Plenty of advice on my choice of nouns, although without regard to local colloquialisms.

Well? Is there a right or wrong way to do this?

Down Up Down Up Down.

like this: _-_-_.

(That's the "official method")
Now for my take. Brace yerself the effluvium is about to strike the ventillator.
All 5 like this: /////.
If done correctly then the loaded charger's rounds will kind of take on the shape of the magazine.

We used to get our sevice ammo issued in chargers "Down Up Down Up Down" Then wew'd change it all to diagonal before firing it.Cry

i load em like you shamu..yes everyone knows the up down tgeory but in reality if you load them diagnoly with the rim in front the previous round and so on..she loads alot faster and smoother.I was at the range when i first bought my ol girl and we caught the eye of an elderly bloke. he walked over to me and shot the breeze for half an hour then went on to show me how he loaded them when he was in the service..the diagonal way. ive loaded them this way ever since.

The funny thing is I just KNOW there's going to be  a"discussion" on this right here.
And my Enfield's charger guides have been milled out.....So I can't use chargers.LOL
