I'm looking for a front globe sight that fits a No4 MKII. Anyone be able to help me out and explain if any are available and if so, what is out there?
Thanks. |

You might try contacting this guy:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69I71QqKRiA He has every darn sight for every darn thing, literally tables, cabinets & buckets full of sights. If you can't contact him I'll be going to the show mentioned in early Feb & I'll be glad to check for you if you don't mind waiting that long. |

What you're looking for is a Parker-Hale FS22 or one of its' variants. IIRC, the main difference is the size of the dovetail. I have the 'stock' FS22 because it was much cheaper than the model (FS22B?) made for the No4 rifle.
I'm in the middle of this mod for my Mk2: simply enlarging the original dovetail puts the foresight too high and makes the range settings on the rear sight useless. Then I "overadjusted" the height and ended up with the foresight too low. I just got three foresight bases from Sarco (better prices/availability then Numrich right now) so I'm going to try again. Hint: since the bayonet mount is set up to allow the installation of the foresight base, you can simply slide the thing in front of the issue foresight so you can see what sort of vertical adjustment you need.
