She looks so sweet.  Nervy looks like a gunsmith friends shop cat who like to watch Scott work.  Scott provides a stool for him to sit on so he can watch what is going on.
Have a Nice Day
If already having a nice day please disregard

That's funny, Nervy has a bar-stool for just that.

Our current Gs is the same Mike. Totally disregards other dogs and livestock and an absolutely savage defending the home, but take him out stalking and he's a different dog. We go off after the deer and leave the tailgate down he'll sit there all day occasionally jumps out for a drink or a wee then back in totally devoted to Alex my lad and myself, a friend of mine takes his daughter and his tracking dog with us, he ignores the dog but adores Emma, Martins 6yr old daughter and plays for hours chasing a ball or a stick if she throws it for him.

The funny thing is this dog is odd in many ways.
Doesn't recognize dog treats.
Wont "play" with dog toys, just ignores them.
Wasn't housebroken by 5 yrs old.
Wolfed food down for the first 2 days, but is settling down.
Also very quiet for a hound dog, hardly barks or howls.

She is changing a little each day as her personality comes out.
Started out shy of humans, day 2 really "needy", now settling down as affectionate but not constantly clinging. First 2 days crazy active, third & fourth day slept like the dead, yesterday & today seems to be realizing she made it & is in no need of fright anymore.

We have an appointment with our local vet on Sat am. Just one of those "new dog, check it out" visits. We'll get her evaluated & see if he can figure some of this out. I'm thinking she lived in a barn or outbuilding with an attached run.

Great to see she's settling in to a loving home.

Although dog's are not on the top of my list at the moment! having got bitten by a Belgian Sheperd dog when on holiday. The owner brought it to the gun club out of regular hours when shooting with his son; I'd also gone there for a private test session with the no1 rifle. He's a security guy so the dog should be trained properly, he introduced me to the dog when I arrived; but when I went to say good bye before leaving, the dog decided to taste my left hand! A few puncture wounds , but luckily for me it just missed the tendon's on the back of my hand. Screwed the vacation a bit too as I couldn't do as much stuff as I'd planned.

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

Dog bites are nasty, the infection risk is even worse than the leaking holes!

Believe it or not - feline bites are far more septic than dog's.
Even if prey gets away from a cat, it will die shortly from the bacteria received from a cat bite
