   I am still waiting on the 7.62mm No4 barrel to arrive. I started working on the magazine well, opening it up as per Mr. Laidler's recommendations to accept the L42A1 magazine. I went ahead after looking at various L8 series rifles and reading what Stratton and Skennerton had to say about certain markings and using an electro stencil,  crossed out the No4Mk1*and then stenciled in 7.62mm L8A5T for no reason other than I could.
Every area in and around the trigger group has been deburred, filed and polished to promote a smooth operation.  The bolt raceway has been polished as well. The feed ramp was smoothed and polished in the same process as the bolt raceway. As soon as the barrel is fitted, I will start the bedding process. I did however properly make the reciever to the forestock in the meanwhile.
