I just got my 1907 bayonet....
It's dull, should I sharpen it? If so... any suggestions. Thanks. |

i personally would leave all bayonets and knives the way i found them...if they havent been sharpened and i do so...i see that as de-facing(in a historicalway) the bayo or knife..again..my opinion only.

Allan I agree. Unless you need to use the bayonet why sharpen. I have a few that I use as knifes I keep them sharp, but they have no Historic value.

In referance to the bayonets I sharpen. Thay have already been modified and so I see no harm in sharpening them.

thats probably because of all those turk rifles flooding the US ?
oh , BTW , i know of that bleeding on the carpet first hand - when i was about 10 a friend was showing me his fathers KBAR , it was quite sharp - still wear the scar , and im a lot more carefull
