Chuck Yeager was quite a character by all accounts.

God bless Chuck Yeager.
There's an interesting part in the book regarding chasing the sound barrier; and about sharing British data and development info with the Americans that ended with the Mach1 flight of Yeager.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

Yep, but as the saying goes: "Any landing you can walk away from was a good landing"!

I recently purchased a few books from DS Solutions, military book department.

The first one I've read is an excellent biography of the life of Captain Eric "Winkle" Brown.
"Wings on my sleeve"
The greatest test pilot who ever lived!
His story is quite amazing; taking him through WWII and testing more types of aircraft than anyone. from piston engines into the Jet era.
He seems's to have been blessed with more lives than a cat! A truly wonderful read!
