A fine looking rifle.
The P-14 and M1917 are very interesting rifles.

One day I may obtain a previously cut down M1917 and duplicate the Chinese short rifles modified for use in the India China Burma theatre. The British also built a few shortened P-14 carbine sized rifles, about the same OAL as the No.5 carbine.

A P-14 Carbine That would be interesting. There also were some M1917s that were rebarreled to 8x57 for the Nationalist Chinese

Heres an article on the P=14 with a few examples of shortened P-14 rifles.
