specifically a no1 mk II* - early style pommel , no fuller , and appears to have the false edge [the mkII had no false edge , if i am not seeing it , not necessarily marked well , the later style pommel id distinctly boxy , those are mk III & III* with the same blades , the earlier mk I are identical to the P1907 , often refurbed brit/ausie blades
the shorter ones were mk IV with a distict false edge like a no 5 drop point , they also made the no 5
there were four producers - RFI , NWR , MIL and JU which is a bit of a mystery , |

It is an India pattern bayonet for a Sht.LE that was made at the Ishapore factory in August 1943.
Looks to be a nice one!

Wondering if someone could give me a little information on this bayonet, overall in great condition, but no scabbard. Thanks! |
