I have an original S.A. Mk.15 No.1 Sniper transit chest. Ok condition. All the paint, hinges, leather handles and inside felt intact. Wood cracked on one side like someone hit it with a hammer. Anyone know the price for.this and also the price for one without the hammer hit. I have decided not to have mine fixed. I figure who ever buys it wants it as is.

Can you please post some pictures of the chest, including the damage. If you are in the Phoenix metro area, I could meet you someplace to assess what you have...

Actual selling price, not an inflated asking price.
Pics of its condition too.

Not interested in selling right now. Just looking to see if it is marketable and what the value would be.

If you do decide to sell the one that is not damaged within the next week,I'd be willing to offer you $1500.00 cash for it.

Is that what these are worth now?  Really??  I’m glad my Dad didn’t give his last one away. He sold one of them with the complete T Sniper kit for a lot less than the current price for just the chest in the mid 1990s.  I’m must be misunderstanding this, $1500 for the wood chest with no rifle?

No misunderstanding britrifles.  My offer to the gentleman stands at $1500.00 cash, for an empty, undamaged wooden transit chest. I will even drive to him, wherever he lives in the state of Arizona.

Wow, these must be rare here in the US.  Dad had 3 or 4 of them, maybe more, he gave them all away except for one.

Yup, one sold recently for $1,525.00.
Sold for, not an asking price.
