I got to shoot the Gibb's Rifle (no.5) that I just got... It shot really nice except for a hard trigger pull.  I don't have a bolt tool yet but I cleaned the bolt as much as I could.  The tigger without the bolt in it pulls easy. Can anyone give me ideas what I should do or check to lighten this up  ( or Clean up ) this trigger?

Since this is a Gibbs (and not a real No.5)  I want to make it very clean and a real good shooter.  I am not to worried about historical value.. But I want to keep the NO.5 look.  I am going to refinish the stock and the metal. I want a real nice trigger but I am not sure how to go about it...

I'd probarly be looking at a after market trigger if you find it  little heavy Or to begin with give the bolt a good spray with gun scrubber & see how that goes!

Thanks for this info... I did what it said and it worked good! the trigger is much lighter. I can live with that.. And it breaks very sharp and clean.
