   I didn't realise that handguns were completely banned in Canada! (except for the Criminals obviously)!That has done away with a lot of sport and fun at the range.
In France the system is well regulated; but has been improved by going online last year. Prior to that, you needed an authorisation processed individually for each handgun. Which meant long delays and repeat paperwork. Now once the online account is processed, you can purchase a handgun or rifle from the gunsmiths without delay. You show ID and give your account number. They check online and add the serial number and details to your list of arms.
It is a secure and sensible system. Certainly makes life easier, and you won't miss a good deal due to lack of paperwork!

	Handguns have been highly regulated here for a long time. Legally owned handguns were NEVER the problem (unless you talk to a Lieberal!) Handguns have been a "restricted firearm" in Canada since 1925. They aren't restricted for the criminals, tho.

	that sounds familiar - all our gun laws apply to the law abiding - the criminals ignore them and get pardoned when caught

	A supreme court Judge is now challenging trudeaus proroguing parliament siting that it is a last ditch effort to save the liberal party. So hopefully he finds in favour of the people and the libs get thrown out the window through non confidence before March`s end. F>ck you trudeau! May the last slap to the face be to you, from us.
