I'm currently still tuning a new (old) rifle, but as it is sitting in my 30 year old homemade gun vise, I said to myself, "What a beautiful rifle! What a hideous gun vise!" As mentioned, my better half (tomorrow is our 38th anniversary) is gonna learn my her digital camera soon. So while I can't post pictures off my creation, if other members have one to share, I'd love to see! Thanks!

Mine is store-bought but I like it.
My only change was to add a couple of adhesive backed coat hooks on either side for a cleaning rod hanger.
Its very versatile & massively adjustable. It comes with rubber feet but is drilled for bolts if you prefer a permanent mount.
My only complaint is the clamping end seems "springy" but its worked fine for years so its not really a problem.

i use one just like shamus , that company makes a sturdier but more expensive version , i too find the clamping springy but have made do , it has handy little recesses for tools and parts wont get misplaced , i like the hooks idea

I have sent and asked Shamu to post a picture I sent him (courtesy of my daughters new phone/camera.) of my ugly gun vise. But, home made and reliable!
